Just kidding, if only forgeworld added chaos knights to Imperial Armour 13, chaos would be complete. Alas, they dropped the proverbial ball on that one...But made you look! Happy belated holidays I was out of state visiting family and couldn't fit the damn book in my carry-on luggage.
Enough for cruel jokes, lets get to the dirt and grit of the book. Daemon engines!
Greater Brass Scorpion
This lord of war sits at front armor 14, side 13, hp 9. It's a super heavy walker, beautiful model, and has a ton of character. It comes with:
1x Scorpion Cannon
1x Soulburner Cannon
2x Hellmaw Cannon
It has the special rule, daemon, frenzied charge, runes of the blood god, doomsday reactor, it will not die, and multi-legged terror. Essentially you get to determine charge distanced using 3d6, any psyker who targets you suffers perils, 2+ on the catastrophic table, and you get D3+2 stomps!
The guns are impressive as the soulbuner is a large blast at str 10 and ignores cover! For the point cost you can take about two knights, but I love the model and it is quite competitive.
Blood Slaughter of Khorne
This is a heavy support slot, you can take between 1-3, front armor 13, side 12, hp 3. It comes with two dreadnought close combat weapons. It has the special rules: daemon of khorne, daemonic resilience, deep strike, fleet, fury of khorne, rampage, and blind fury. For 5pts you can take the impaler which essentially allows you to drag your opponent to you and count as assaulting the target.
This is a really interesting model profile, as you can deepstrike and potentially pull models to you, rules as written upon deepstriking if they are in base to base! I'll definitely have to test it out, it's a close combat monster!
Chaos Rapier Weapons Battery
This is a heavy support choice and provides ample firepower to any CSM army. It comes with the rapier and two CSM crew, and comes eqipped with a quad heavy bolter, you can have between 1-3 rapier's in a battery and upgrade the quad bolter to a laser destroyer, ectoplasma cannon, hades autocannon, or cyclotrathe pattern conversion beamer.
This provides some extremely difficult choices and I need to test these variations out, but the ultimate champion in this category would be the laser destroyer or the conversion beamer. I'll have to test those out and get back to you! An absolute solid choice for heavy support, given the relatively cheap point cost!
